If your Max app doesn't automatically update to HBO Max, here's how to get it:
- On devices where you have Max app, go to the app store, search for HBO Max (or Max), and choose the download or update option.
- For a list of supported devices, go to Install HBO Max on supported devices.

Max is now HBO Max. The only thing different is the name. The app experience, subscription plans, and pricing all stay the same at this time.
