Install Max on supported devices
You can stream Max on phones, tablets, computers, TVs, streaming players, set-top boxes, and game consoles, which meet our compatibility requirements; the devices and compatibility requirements are set out below.
To start streaming today, install the Max app or go to max.com on your computer.
Choose a device type:
Choose a supported device for install and update steps:
- Amazon Fire tablets (with the latest current operating system or its two previous versions)
Install: On your Amazon Fire tablet, choose Apps, and search for Max. Choose Max and then the download option.
Update: On your Amazon Fire tablet, choose Apps, and search for Max. If an update is available, choose Update.
- Android phones and tablets (with the latest current operating system or its two previous versions), except for Huawei devices and the following device models:
- Google: Pixelbook, Pixel Slate
- Lenovo: K5X
Install: On your Android phone or tablet, open the Play Store and search for Max. Choose Max and then the download option.
Installing Max from somewhere other than the official Google Play app store is not supported.
Update: On your Android phone or tablet, open the Play Store and search for Max. If an update is available, choose Update.
The Max app is currently not supported on Google Chromebook devices. To view on Google Chromebook devices, open max.com in your Chrome browser.
- Apple iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch (with the latest current operating system or its two previous versions)
Install: On your Apple device, open the App Store and search for Max. Choose Max and then the download option.
Update: On your Apple device, open the App Store and search for Max. If an app update is available, choose Update.
Subscribe or sign in
Once you have the Max app installed, do one of the following:
- New subscriber? Open Max and choose Subscribe Now.
- Have a Max (or BluTV) account? Open Max and choose Sign In (if your subscription has expired, you'll be prompted to continue your subscription).
Need help signing in? Go to Can't sign in.
You can stream on your PC, Mac, or Google Chromebook at max.com.

At max.com, do one of the following:
- New subscriber? Choose Sign Up Now.
- Have a Max (or BluTV) account? Choose Sign In (if your subscription has expired, you'll be prompted to continue your subscription).
Need help signing in? Go to Can't sign in.
Choose a supported device for install and update steps:
- Amazon Fire TV devices (with the latest current operating system or its two previous versions)
Install: On your Amazon Fire TV, choose Find and search for Max. Choose Max and then the download option.
Update: On your Amazon Fire TV, highlight the Max tile and then press the Menu button on your remote (button with three lines). In the lower-right corner, choose More Info > Update.
- Android TV devices (with the latest current version of Android TV OS or its two previous versions)
This includes Smart TVs with Android TV built-in and Chromecast with Google TV, except for Huawei devices and the following TV models:
- Philips: QM16XE_U, philips_MT5593FHT_EU, QV151E, MT5593Uplus
- LGU+: U+ tv woofer, U+ tv UHD
- Freebox: Mini 4K
Install: On your Android TV, open the Play Store and search for Max. Choose Max and then choose Install.
The Max app is supported on Google Play and Dolby certified devices installed from the official Google Play app store. Installing Max from somewhere other than the official Google Play app store is not supported.
Update: On your Android TV, highlight the Max app, then press and hold the Select button, and choose View Details > Update.
- Apple TV 4K or Apple TV HD (with the latest tvOS)
Install: On your Apple TV, open the App Store and search for Max. Choose Max and then the download option.
Update: Go to the App Store and search for Max. If there’s an update available, choose Update.
- Hisense VIDAA TV (with the latest current version of VIDAA OS or its two previous versions)
Install: On your VIDAA TV, open the VIDAA App Store and search for Max. Choose Max and then Install.
Update: on your VIDAA TV, open the VIDAA App Store and go to My Apps, highlight Max, and choose Update (if available).
No Max app? If the Max app isn't in the VIDAA app store, go to TV device not supported?
- LG Smart TV (with the latest current version of webOS or its two previous versions)
Install: On your LG TV, open the LG Content Store and search for Max. Choose Max and then Install.
Update: On your LG TV, choose LG Content Store > Apps > My Apps, then select Max and choose Update.
If Max isn't in the LG content store, your LG TV may not be supported.
No Max app? If the Max app isn't available for your TV, go to TV device not supported?
- Philips Titan TV (with the latest current version of webOS or its two previous versions)
Install: On your Titan TV, go to Apps and search for Max. Choose Max and then Install.
Update: On your Titan TV, go to Apps and search for Max. Choose Max and then Update.
If Max isn’t in the app store on your Titan TV, your TV might not be supported.
No Max app? If the Max app isn’t available for your TV, go to TV device is not supported?
- PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5
Install:
- On your PlayStation, do one of the following:
- PlayStation 4: Go to the PlayStation Store and search for Max.
- PlayStation 5: Go to Media > All Apps and search for Max.
- Choose Max and then Download.
Update: On your PlayStation, highlight Max, press the Options button on your controller, and then choose Check for Update.
- Samsung TV (current year models or models from the two previous years)
Install: First, sign in to your Samsung account on your TV. Then, on your Samsung TV, choose Apps, and search for Max. Choose Max and then Install.
If you can't install the Max app, your Samsung TV may be low on storage space. Try deleting an app before you install the Max app.
Update: Press the Home button on your remote, then choose Apps > the Settings icon 
> Updates.
No Max app? If the Max app isn't in the Samsung app store, go to TV device not supported?
- Vestel TV with TiVo OS and MB130 models (with the latest current operating system or its two previous versions)
No Max app? If the Max app isn’t available for your TV, go to TV device not supported?
- Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S
Install: Go to the Store on your Xbox console and search for Max. Choose Max and then Install.
Update: On your Xbox, go to My games & apps, highlight Max and press the Menu button on your controller, choose Manage app, and then select Updates.
For a list of supported 4K, HDR10, and Dolby Vision devices, go to Watch in 4K UHD.
TV device not supported?
If the Max app isn't available on your TV device, here are some other ways to stream on your TV:
You can also connect a supported streaming player (e.g., Apple TV) to stream Max on your TV.
BluTV subscribers If your device isn’t listed, it may not currently support Max. For more info, go to What devices can I stream on?
